Sainsbury's days in the community - Dothill LNR chosen!

In celebration of their 150th birthday, Sainsbury’s stores have selected, by ballot, a charity or community group within their locale to support this year. The Friends of Dothill LNR have been fortunate enough to be chosen by the Telford Forge Retail Park store. The support is to include:

  • Sainsbury’s employees visiting the Reserve, “to get their hands dirty” over a 4-month period
  • The opportunity for the Friends to promote the Reserve in-store, over a number of weekends
  • Some in-store fundraising

We received the first batch of volunteers on 4th June; they fitted straight in and made a great contribution.

With the help of these extra hands we hope to really make a significant conservation impact on the Reserve this summer, which will include a legacy feature which will be predominantly completed by the teams from Sainsbury’s.
