Midlands Bat Conference March 2020 - POSTPONED

Dear Midlands Bat Groups,

With the current situation around the coronavirus outbreak and considering our responsibility to all the speakers and attendees, we have made the difficult decision not to bring everyone together in Birmingham on Saturday 28 March for the Midlands Bat Conference.

We explored the possibility of streaming the talks online but we felt that valuable elements such as the workshops and networking opportunities could not be replicated satisfactorily online. Hence the decision to postpone until a later date, when we can provide the full experience as intended.

We are planning to use Millennium Point in Birmingham still and are currently considering when the best time would be to hold the rescheduled conference. We will liaise with Midlands bat groups, as well as speakers and workshop leaders, once we’re in a position to consider dates.

We hope you understand the reasoning behind our decision.

All the best,

Lisa

Wellington UDC Sewage Works were just beyond the end of the blocks going north.

I think a water pipe or sewage pipe was supported on those blocks many years ago, they look pre war.
