Former Chair receives Mayor's Award

The Friends’ work at Dothill LNR was once again recognised when our former Chairman Andy Harnell received one of the Mayor's Community Pride Awards at Wellington Town Council's annual civic service on Sunday. The award came under the heading 'Celebrating our Environment' and was entitled 'Contribution to Dothill Nature Reserve'. On receiving the award Andy outlined our achievements and ongoing projects across the Reserve. He was keen to emphasise that although this was essentially an individual award, our success is down to a great team spirit that has developed as the group has united to do our best for wildlife and the local community.

Many congratulations, Andy, from all the Friends!

Wellington UDC Sewage Works were just beyond the end of the blocks going north.
