The sun shone down on the Reserve today. Out on the wetland the Friends created channels, dams and waterfalls. I remember as a child building sandcastles on Barmouth beach with the obligatory moat and desperately trying to get the water to flow into it. Well this was far better, it was great to be a Friend this morning, grown-ups working (playing) in the water and mud with a great result in the end.

Wellington UDC Sewage Works were just beyond the end of the blocks going north.

I think a water pipe or sewage pipe was supported on those blocks many years ago, they look pre war.
